The Empire is collapsing

I thought I could sort of try to end the convoluted year of 2024 with something positive for once. I know this year Donald Trump was reelected, and that’s as bad as it could get, but I’m starting to think that the people around me, even in Europe or the USA especially, are becoming increasingly angry, and I do really have my hopes up for something that people might not realize at some degree, but here it is: this whole system ran by rampant capitalism and related ideologies is already collapsing by itself. The Empire is collapsing. Long gone are the times where the fruits of unhinged imperialism and colonialism, of uncontrollable profiteering and the threat of fascism itself looming in the distance, are sustainable enough. We will win.

How so, then? Turns out you can’t really pacify an angry bear for long enough if you keep kicking him in the shins too much, and that’s the CEOs and politicians’ problem: they rely on pacifying said bear with empty shit. The people is the bear, by the way, if you don’t catch my metaphorical talk. Lobbyists, CEOs, politicians of all sorts of political parties, so on and so forth, rely too much on pretending they’re interested in the well-being of the people and worker class individuals, and at the same time, they relied too much on convincing worker class folx of nonsense such as culture or ethnic warfares with no basis on reality; sure, there are plenty of stupid people still on this planet, especially bootlickers who will defend cape and sword capitalistic or fascist ideals, and if you’re one of those, I’m really sorry for you, but you should consider talking to a therapist; but there’s even now growing evidence that this is not about a cultural or ethnic war: it’s a class warfare.

Just look at Luigi Mangione being the exemplary case of what happens when at least one person is angry enough said system that he’d be willing to not only flip cars and kill CEOs and politicians, but invite other people to flip cars and kill CEOs and politicians. Luigi, the United Healthcare CEO shooter, has blurred the line between left wing and right wing, uniting left and right worker class ideologues into believing it’s not a fight between left or right; that this is definitely a class struggle. Not only that, tensions grow at Amazon when the Amazon Teamsters are striking, provoking Amazon to send in the pigcops to protect their market dominance and profits by repressing said strikes with law enforcement. It’s noticeable, from these couple instances, that the bourgeois class is afraid, not only summoning law enforcement, but also summoning the consent manufacturing machine to defend them in the public opinion, trying to gather as many sycophants as possible from the few remaining worker class people who might buy into that nonsense. There’s a thing like bread and circus even, but at this point, when Rome burns too bright, bread and circus won’t do barely enough to pacify the masses.

At this point, there’s now more people angry than before. We’ve become so tired of being tired and sad about this sort of nonsensical reality; and people are now furious about a whole plethora of things: the stagnant wages, the growing, hiking prices of groceries and basic needs, the increasing speculation of the housing market, the threat of fascism looming in, the inability of our geriatric leadership to do anything that matters; and hell, a whole plethora of geopolitical conflicts for which our governments have been funding and feeding nonstop. There’s a recurrent meme here in Spain where it goes in a similar vein of a person begging Pedro Sanchez that they cannot afford olive oil at the grocery store and they need to pay rent, to which Pedro Sanchez smugly replies that they’re going to send more weapons to Israel, just to let a fascist Zionist government genocide more Palestinians. Hoo-fucking-ray. At this point, no political party that we know of is going to save this misery as long as it’s leaded by the same geriatric leadership interested in maintaining the capitalist status quo. The only solution is to grow angry and burn everything down.

And a lot of people are justifyingly angry now. It’s just a matter of time before the whole system collapses and leads into, if not just chaos, a whole better society where worker class people can live in peace. The days of the Empire are counted.
