Sass VS Fash is brewing AGAIN on Unreal Engine!

Güten tag, kleine frauen und herren! (sorry for butchering German)

JMAA GAMES is brewing again a game, Sass VS Fash, this time on Unreal Engine, and it feels like a better way to slaughter nazis than ever before. How so?

Well, the Unity “prototype”, which was last released as an Early Taste demo that barely sold on itchio, was a tad bit too janky for my taste, so I switched over to Unreal Engine 4, and it felt way better using blueprint code and improving not just on the gameplay of the game, but also on the aesthetic of it as a whole.

Level design wise, there’s much more freedom than just using tileset-styled mazes like in the original Wolfenstein 3D (with certain verticality though), and I was able to craft way better looking levels than before, just take a look:

It still keeps the basic low-poly aesthetic of a retro FPS, but this improved level design will get you more immersed into the experience of killing nazis in their own domain. Sounds good, right?

Well, after we release this Vertical Slide 1-level demo to the public, we’ll publish a Kickstarter campaign for it, to see if we can raise enough funds to keep going with this development. There’s a lot more to do than this, and hopefully we can aim for a second Steam release with this one.

Keep up to date on updates at jmaa.tv folks.
