We got plans to open a forum

Around 1-2 decades ago, Something Awful opened its forum to the public for a fee, and it meant a staple on internet culture that we owe to today. Most of you might have already forgotten about Something Awful, since Lowtax is a bit of a piece of shit, but I do have similar plans for the future…

I’m thinking of opening a goon-centric forum.

This forum will have a wide range of discussion areas exclusively for the most dedicated of JMAA goons out there. Not sure on how much impact we can make on the Internet as a whole, but I’m pretty sure it will be cozy and fun. Of course I have to take in mind that it will be also a leftist-centered forum, so hate-speech and anything that 4chan likes is out of the game.

However, I’d have to paywall this forum for a small one-time fee of $5. Why? Well, I don’t just have to cover for the Squarespace cost expenses and all, but also I’d have to block entry to trolls and spambots in a 100% efficient way. Not guaranteed that a few trolls might pay off the $5 and slip by, but they’d still have wasted their valuable money in getting banned nowadays.

So, the problem here is, I don’t know how I’m gonna do this. I don’t even know if it’s possible with my current budget. The thing is, I want to create a cozy, fun and badass goon community out there. And I hope I can make it big.
