Is 3D Realms using AI Twitter bots to shill Phantom Fury?

3D Realms, and especially companies like Slipgate Ironworks and their parent company Embracer Group, are not in a good spot right now it seems. Since the whole Kingpin: Reloaded botched release fiasco that happened this year, alongside other botched releases on 2024 and the series of layoffs provoked by the parent company Embracer Group that culled up possibly thousands of employees, including Scott Miller, it’s most likely to expected and unsurprising to see that the utter disastrous release of Phantom Fury as it is currently has spawned desperate measures either for 3D Realms, Slipgate Ironworks and Embracer Group… or so it seems.

It has been discovered by fellow boomer shooter aficionado Civvie 11 on Twitter (we still refuse to call it X) that a series of AI Twitter bots have been particularly shilling Phantom Fury in a desperate attempt at promoting the game in a good light.

The bots, still, do a shoddy, poor job at properly promoting the game to the open Twitter masses, since they rather look like automatically vomiting off the ChatGPT-styled prompt in a glitchy manner. Still, even though it’s really uncertain, it seems clearly evident that 3D Realms is so desperate to try to sell the broken Phantom Fury release that it will rely on “P U S S Y I N B I O” tier Twitter / X AI blue checkmark bots to do the marketing for them. Ironic, isn’t it?

A while ago, we called out 3D Realms’ questionable behavior in promoting and propping up MajorArlene, a prominent retro FPS and DOOM community member and member of Hellforge Studios who seemingly uses KiwiFarms as a weapon against yours truly (a trans woman), showcasing how much of a virtue signalling hypocrite she is, as well as how much 3D Realms is willing to openly defend such an abominable hate criminal. Regardless, still, their silence and silencing of dissenting voices calling them out for it has made them complicit in the act.

But in all honesty, once 3D Realms advertised themselves as them “redefining AAA”, but instead they’ve shown us that they’re just AAA as in the usual bullshit the AAA gaming industry means; the corrupt, often disgusting AAA industry that follows the lead of Ubisoft, EA, Activision-Blizzard and other AAA companies, including Embracer Group.

Keep chasing those shareholders, fuckers! We’ll definitely see you in Hell.
